Pet Sitting in Thirsk: In-Home Care for Every Pet

Going away from Thirsk and need someone you trust with your pets? Here's how in-home pet sitting works, what it costs, and why it beats a trip to the cattery or kennels for many animals.

If you live in or around Thirsk and you are planning a holiday, a weekend away or even a long day out, the question is always the same: who looks after the pets? For many animals the kindest answer is pet sitting — proper care in their own home, from someone they have already met.

Why in-home care suits so many pets. Kennels and catteries suit some animals, but many pets — cats especially — are far happier staying in familiar surroundings. Their feeding routine stays the same, their favourite spots stay theirs, and there is no stressful car journey or unfamiliar smells. With pet sitting, your pet's world carries on as normal while you are away.

What a visit actually includes. A typical pet sitting visit covers feeding, fresh water, litter trays or toilet breaks, medication if needed, and — just as importantly — company. We send you updates and photos after every visit, so you can relax knowing exactly how your pet is getting on. We can also bring in post, water plants and keep the house looking lived-in, which is a quiet security bonus while you are away.

Pet and house sitting overnight. For pets who need more than daytime visits, we also offer overnight pet and house sitting at £55 per night. Your pet keeps their own bed, their own garden and their own routine — and your home is looked after too.

Every animal welcome. It is not just cats and dogs. We look after rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, birds and other small animals, with the same visit-by-visit updates. If it lives in your home and matters to you, we will care for it.

Licensed and local. We are based in Thirsk and licensed by North Yorkshire Council (Licence Number: ANBRD-191158-E), so our care is inspected and held to proper welfare standards. Before any booking we arrange a free meet and greet, so your pet meets us with you there and you can ask us anything.

Planning a trip? Get in touch through our contact page or call us on 07734 363189 to arrange your meet and greet.
